Meals On Wheels of San Francisco is proud to be the host/beneficiary of several events which allow us to raise funding and awareness for our programs. Each event affords us the ability to reach out to the community so that we can continue to enhance our program and highlight our mission.

Bay Area Dine Out for Meals on Wheels – Tuesday, November 9th, 2010
Help End Senior Hunger in Seven Bay Area Counties – Simply dine out at your favorite participating restaurant that day and a portion of the proceeds will go directly to providing meals for homebound seniors.
Over 200 restaurants across the Bay Area will donate 10% of their proceeds to Meals On Wheels. Diners in each county will support local programs in that county simply by dining out that day. Diners will also have the opportunity to make a donation to their local program as well. Up to 60 San Francisco restaurants will participate and funds will directly support Meals On Wheels of San Francisco.
Stay tuned for the list of participating restaurants to be announced on September 15th. Participating Counties Include: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Solano.

This is an exciting new program that helps MOWSF raise funds when you dine at some of Northern California’s finest restaurants such as Americano, Fifth Floor and Perbacco. The San Francisco Native Jamboree – Friday, October 15, 2010 – 6:30 - 11:30 pm
The San Francisco Native Jamboree is a unique event bringing together native San Franciscans. At this event, there will be a cocktail reception, three-course sit down dinner, dancing and entertainment. The Seventh Annual San Francisco Native Jamboree will be held at The Sir Francis Drake Hotel.
