From Our Kitchen to Yours: Bowtie Pasta with Bolognese

Recipe
Serves four people:
2 cups of uncooked pasta
1 pound lean, ground beef (or split half ground beef with half ground turkey)
1 small onion, diced
1/2 cup canned tomatoes
1 oz. tomato paste
1/4 tsp basil leaves
1/8 tsp ground pepper
1. Bring water to a boil. Add dry pasta to the boiling water. Cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Place ground turkey in skillet. Cook until it has browned. Drain off excess grease.
3. Add onions, tomato sauce, tomato paste, basil, and black pepper to the ground meat mixture. For additional seasoning, fresh chopped garlic and parsley can be added. Simmer for 30 minutes.
4. Top pasta with bolognese, and enjoy!
